Course Objectives

# To get a broad insight into the 7 different types of AM

 # To gain a detailed understanding of Selective Laser Melting (SLM)

 # To outline the different software packages available for AM

 # To understand the principles of Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) and how it differs from the conventional design process.

 # To see and understand the different methods of post processing AM parts To become familiar the challenges of AM and how to overcome them

 # To experience the AM building process from design through to completion

Course Details

The workshop will take place at Croft Additive Manufacturing’s premises in Risley, Warrington.

 The course will take place on selective days however arrangements can be made for larger parties or organisations.

Who should attend?

The course is aimed at anyone who wishes to gain a detailed insight into the basic fundamentals

 of metal additive manufacturing within the filtration industry.

 Distinct from the available academic courses currently being offered, the course is designed to be accessible for potential users of the AM, product designers, and anyone else who has an interest in in learning more about the technology.
